CMA and SFMS is offering “What You Need to Know about Surviving Medicare and Medi-Cal Audits” webinar on August 3, 2011 from 12:15 to 1:15pm to ensure members are adequately informed and prepared for Medicare and Medi-Cal audits.

Free Medical Billing Collections Webinar for SFMS Members

Today’s health care providers depend on medical billing collections to keep practices profitable and patient-friendly.  In many practices, collection activities take a back seat to a myriad of other daily office activities.

To assist our members with medical billing collections, SFMS and CMA will be hosting two complimentary medical billing collections webinars featuring Mary Jean Sage.  Featured topics  include:

  • Defining the practice collection process
  • Determining who does what
  • Basic collection techniques; effective collection techniques
  • When collection efforts fail – what’s the next step

Mary Jean Sage is a nationally recognized speaker and has worked with many medical groups including the AMA, CMA, SFMS, American Academy of Pediatrics, and Hills Physicians Medical Group.  She was instrumental in developing the Certified Medical Billing Associate program, which credentials medical billers and served as the initial Certification Director for the program.
